Community wide yard sale event set for weekend

Bargain and or specialty item hunters should have opportunities to make a deal this weekend in south Logan County.

As a replacement for Sell It Again on Highway 10, cancelled back in April due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, a community wide yard sale event has been planned for both the Booneville and Magazine communities for Friday and Saturday, July 31 and Aug. 1.

Organized through the Booneville Development Corporation/South Logan County Chamber of Commerce the event, like Sell It Again, or with any yard sale, has limited rules in that vendors should have permission to display products on a given property and the items for sale must be legal.

BDC/Chamber Executive Director Susan Bulger said last week they are working on obtaining a list of selling addresses and that vendors are encouraged to list their address in the event’s Facebook page.

Bulger said Arkansas Department of Health social distancing should be observed and the statewide mask mandate should be observed when social distancing is not possible.

The spring edition of Sell It Again was set to be held for the seventh time and while the community yard sale event was created as a substitute, Bulger said the current plan is to continue the fall version of Sell It Again, which boasts yard sales from Hackett to Ola in early November.
