65th wedding anniversary

Kathryn and Lacy Topham

Lacy and Kathryn Topham of Booneville celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on April 7. They met each other while both were serving in the U.S. Navy and were married in Kingsland, Ga., in 1956.

Lacy and Kay have lived in Booneville for the past 47 years. Lacy retired from the military after 20 years, then worked as a welder for Miller Drilling Co. in Fort Smith, and later for Stephens Production Co. in Fort Smith. Kay retired as vice president of First Western Mortgage in Booneville.

They have four children, Randy Topham and wife Susan, Angela Nelson and husband Rick, Melanie Guinn and husband Ken, and Pamela Johnson; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

The family celebrated with a crawfish boil.
