Dax Goff ran for 73 yards and a touchdown, Peyton Tatum threw for 72 yards and a touchdown, and Brooks Herrera returned a kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown in a 28-6 win over Pottsville Thursday night at Bearcat Stadium.

Goff's 34 yard touchdown run made it 22-0 with 6:56 to play in the game. He had opened the fourth quarter with a 21-yard run to move the ball to the Pottsville 41-yard line.

After Pottsville got on the scoreboard with a 1-yard run by Elijah Nason, Herrera fielded the kickoff at his 30 and ran it back for his second touchdown of the night.

Herrera had caught a 15-yard scoring pass from Tatum, who completed four passes to four different receivers, just 25 seconds before halftime, giving the Bearcats (2-1) a 14-0 lead.

Rylen Ray scored the game’s first touchdown and he recovered two Apache fumbles.

The seventh grade game went to Pottsville, 32-14.
