Results for the March 14 Greenwood High School Invitational were officially posted last week with Magazine’s Chase Gibson scoring a first and second place finish in the meet.
Gibson cleared 6’ in the high jump to win that event. His long jump of 20’ 4.5” was good for second, accounting for 18 of his team’s 21 total points in the meet.
Tatum Scott ran a 53.64 400-meter dash for sixth place to pick up the remaining three points.
Finishing in the top 10 were the 4x100-meter relay team and Caleb Hyatt in the shot put, both in 10th.
The Lady Rattlers had four placements for 18 total points.
Hannah Smith was fifth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.24; clearing 7’ 6,” Hannah Green was fifth in the pole vault; and Clair Curtis was fifth in the shot put with a toss of 27’ 9.75”.
The 4x800-meter relay team of Lauren Ryan, Michael-Ann Dobson, Carlee Parrish and Becky Scott was seventh with a time of 12:24.96.
Also finishing in the top 10 were Taryn Leslie ninth in the triple jump, Curtis ninth in the discus and Smith 10th in the high jump.
