Carson Ray led off the second inning with a solo home run, his second of the season, and was 3-for-4 with 3 runs batted in on the day in a 16-5 win over Mansfield Monday night.

Ray and Blakley Cobb both had three hits, and Ray, Michael Hesson and Jacob Herrera all drove in three runs in the five inning game that lasted two hours and 10 minutes.

The Bearcats (6-5) had 12 hits on the night to five for the Tigers, two of which were by Aaron Brewer.

Cobb (2-0) got the win with three strike outs in one a two-third innings of relief work. There were a combined nine pitchers used, five by Mansfield and four by the Bearcats, who have four games scheduled this week.

Charleston 9 Lady Bearcats 6

Shelby Posey and Hannah Gregory both had two hits for the Lady Bearcats (6-2).

Posey also drove in two for Booneville, who scored three times in the bottom of the ninth and had the tying run on deck before it ended.

Sierra Montgomery and Addison Newhart both drove in two for Charleston.

Danville 15 Lady Rattlers 0

After a scoreless first inning, Danville scored 12 times in the bottom of the second on the way to a run rule win.
