The Booneville Bearcats wrapped up a perfect conference season in Perryville Tuesday, whipping the Mustangs, 55-35, in Perryville.

The Bearcats had led by only seven at the half.

Grant Goers, Logan Bardley and Blakley Cobb scored 13 points apiece in the Bearcats’ 23rd straight win. Goers also had nine rebounds and Bradley eight. Dawson Bullock had 12 to lead the Mustangs.

The trip to Perryville is one the Bearcats (24-1) will be making again for the regional tournament because as the top seed in next week’s district tournament, they have a bye to the semifinals and are automatically qualified for the regional.

The Lady Mustangs used an 18-0 run to open a big lead of the Lady Bearcats and cruised to a win behind 11 points by Allee Southerland.

Baylee Moses had 16 points, six rebounds and six assists for the Lady Bearcats.

Johnson County Westside 65 Rattlers 62

Max Greb scored 30 points before fouling out late in regulation and was forced to watch the Rattlers, who had led by 13 in the fourth quarter, fall to the Rebels in overtime.

Austin Bartlett scored 18 to lead the Rebels with Jamison Morgan and Peyton Chrisman adding 15.

Johnson County Westside 49 Lady Rattlers 42

The Lady Rattlers lost their second overtime game of the year despite a 19 point, seven rebounds, seven assist game by Hannah Smith.

Kiara Vasquez scored 10 points and Hannah Green had 10 rebounds for Magazine.

Westisde got 17 points and 10 rebounds from Kelsey Criss and nine rebounds from Evy Hurt.
