NOTES: Ethan Dobbs returned an interception for a touchdown last week, marking the fourth defensive touchdown of the year for the Bearcats. That marks the 10th time a Bearcat team has scored four times on defense, but only four other teams have at least four interception return touchdowns – 1935 (4), 1975 and 1999 (5), and 1955 (6). The 1955 team had eight interception returns.

Evan Schlinker threw his ninth touchdown pass last week. Only six other players have thrown more in a single season, with the all-time high being 12 by Al Bradley in 1975. The most recent quarterback to throw for nine touchdowns in a season was Brock May in 2009.

THIS DATE IN BEARCAT HISTORY: The Booneville Bearcats are 8-4 all time in games played on Oct. 26, the most recent being a 30-22 win over Pottsville that led to a conference title in 2012.

In 2001 the Bearcats beat Paris 60-35 on Oct. 26 with Brad West returning a punt 65 yards for a touchdown, throwing a 55-yard touchdown pass to Ronnie Becker and gaining 444 yards.

Jonathan Davis ran for 141 and John Schlinker added 128 yards against Subiaco on Oct. 26, 1990.

LAST NIGHT: The Booneville Junior High Bearcats wrapped up a share of second place in the 3A-1with a 22-19 win over Lamar. Randon Ray ran for three touchdowns and 264 yards on 11 carries in the game, including a 56-yard go-ahead score with 1:13 to play.

The seventh grade Bearcats wrapped up a conference runner-up, 8-2 season, with a 34-14 win over the Warriors as Dax Goff ran for 281 yards on just seven carries. Goff scored four touchdowns and had a 2-point conversion.
