Led by All State choice Randon Baumgartner, five Magazine Rattlers were named All Conference following a Conference 2A-4 runner up season.

Courtney Stone was All State for the Lady Rattlers, who had four named All Conference.

Baumgartner was the staff ace (5-2) and played shortstop when not on the mound. He hit in the cleanup position where he led the team in runs batted in.

Also All Conference were Ethan Chenowith, Trevor Blake and Matt Smith, who like Baumgartner were seniors, and junior Pacen Roberson.

Chenowith hit in the leadoff spot and played both middle infield positions. He led the team in on base percentage, largely because he also led the club in drawing walks.

Picking up multiple wins and losses in relief, Blake figured in 10 decisions, 5-5. He hit second in the lineup and closed out his career with a three hit game in a regional tournament loss.

Smith’s main duty was behind the plate. He also hit third and led the team in home runs with four.

Roberson manned the center field position and hit fifth. He also made several starts on the mound and looks to inherit the top pitching spot next season.

Joining Stone, the Lady Rattler pitcher and leading hitter, on the All Conference team for Magazine was Braylea Mathews, Kiara Vasquez and Kelsey Krigbaum.

Mathews, a senior, played shortstop and hit in the top two spots of the order during the season.

Vasquez, a freshman started the year in the outfield but was behind the plate for multiple games down the stretch. She also moved from the ninth to fthe ourth position in the batting order during the season.

Krigbaum played second base and did most of her damage in the middle part of the order.
