FORT SMITH, Ark. – The UAFS men’s basketball team will share the Heartland Conference regular-season championship with Dallas Baptist after the Patriots beat the Newman Jets in Saturday’s regular-season finale.

No. 18 UAFS (24-4, 12-4) and No. 24 Dallas Baptist (23-5, 12-4) finished tied for first place in the conference. As a result of the outcomes of the remaining games on Saturday and the tiebreaker scenarios, Dallas Baptist earned the No. 1 seed in this week’s conference tournament, and UAFS earned the No. 2 seed.

UAFS, which is the defending conference tournament champion, will play No. 7 seed Oklahoma Christian at noon on Thursday in the first round of the conference tournament at the UMAC in Tulsa, Okla.

Fans can purchase tournament passes which will admit them to all 14 tournament games for the advanced sale price of $35. Passes will be on sale online (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2018-heartland-conference-basketball-championships-tickets-42250575609#tickets) through Monday at the advanced purchase price. Fans who purchase tournament passes online must print them at home to present at the UMAC ticket booth on the day of the tournament.

Single-day tickets are available for purchase at the UMAC on-site for $15 for adults and $7 for students with a valid student I.D. Military personnel, with military identification, and children aged 5 and under can attend the tournament free of charge.

After Monday, tournament passes and daily tickets may be purchased on-site at the UMAC. Purchases at the box office are cash only.
