The Jr. High Booneville Bearcats completed nonconference play with a 1-1-1 record after a 14-0 loss to Alma Thursday night at Bearcat Stadium.

The Bearcats had a chance to tie or go ahead in the third quarter after Elijah Wells caused a fumble that Randon Ray recovered inside the 10, but after moving the ball inside the 1, the Bearcats had a penalty and eventually turned the ball over on downs at the 6.

The Bearcats were penalized six times in the game for 25 yards, but like the penalty at the goal line, the timing was usually crucial.

Two plays later Logan Chronister ran 92 yards to make it 14-0. Chronister finished with six carries for 123. Ray had 17 carries for 73 yards for the Bearcats.
