Among six to be recognized as all district, Devin Davis and Caleb Draper were both named to the Class 4A All State team for the 2016 football season.

Davis and Draper, both seniors, were named All State for the Bearcats, who, in a return to Class 4A this season, made the playoffs as the two seed from Conference 4A-4.

Also named All District for the 6-5 Bearcats this season were seniors Chance Pence and Hayden Fennell and juniors Trent Wooldridge and Grant Rodatz.

Davis was a three-year starter on the Bearcat offensive and defensive lines. Draper played fullback and linebacker.

Draper finished the year with 903 yards on 173 carries (5.2) with 13 touchdowns. Draper also had four receptions for 50 yards and another touchdown. He also had 37 total tackles with 4.5 going for a loss.

From his defensive tackle spot Davis was second for the Bearcats in tackles for a loss with 7.5 among his 52 total, which tied for second on the team. Davis also had a sack and broke up one pass.

Pence, who also manned line positions, had 45 total tackles. 2.5 sacks and seven tackles for a loss.

A man of many positions, Fennell ran for 203 yards and a couple of touchdowns, threw for 89 yards and another touchdown and had a pair of receptions as well. Fennell also scored three two-point conversions. He also had a pair of pass breakups on defense.

Wooldridge was the Bearcat co-leader with 13 receptions but led the way in yardage with 190 yards and a touchdown. Defensively he co-led the team with four interceptions, one he returned for a touchdown, and he had 37 tackles with five going for a loss.

Rodatz ran for 374 yards and three touchdowns on 70 carries and he was the sack co-leader for the Bearcats with 4.5 Rodatz was also the tackle for loss leader for the defense with 8 among his total 36 stops.
