Rita Yandell, 70, of Havana, Ark., passed away Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 at the Russellville Hospice Center. Rita was born Jan. 31, 1943 to Ervin and Marjorie Parker. She lived her entire life in or near Havana.
Rita graduated from Havana High School in 1961 and married Owen Yandell on Sept. 10, 1962. Rita’s entire life revolved around her family with her children and grandchildren forever on her mind.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Owen Yandell; a son and two daughters, Jeff Yandell of Havana, Kris Ridenour and her husband Steve of Havana, and Kelli Crowe and her husband Brian of Dardanelle; three grandchildren, Jacob Yandell of Mulberry, and McKenzie and Katie Kist of Dardanelle; a brother, Odean Parker and his wife Jerrie of Danville; and a niece, Erin Parker.
Memorial services are to be held at the Heritage Addition Church of Christ in Booneville, on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013 at 2 p.m., with brother Gary Frazier officiating.
A private graveside service was held at the Havana Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
