Jesse L. Pumphrey

Jesse L. Pumphrey, 73, of Booneville, formerly of El Dorado, passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013 in Fort Smith. He was born July 3, 1940, in El Dorado, the son of the late John and Opal Greer Pumphrey.

He was a welder and pipe fitter at Union Member 706 of El Dorado, Ham Radio Operator, served in the United States Army and was of the Assembly of God faith.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Bobbie Hux; two infant grandchildren and great grandson, Seth Pumphrey.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27, at Regency Funeral Home with interment at Neighbors Cemetery under the direction of Regency Funeral Home.

He is survived by sons, John Pumphrey and wife Pam and James Pumphrey, all of Malvern; daughter, Julie Guillot and husband James of Ruston, La.; brothers, Allen Pumphrey and wife Polly of Booneville, Roy Pumphrey and wife Ruth of Smackover, Dale Pumphrey and wife Tina of St. Francisville, La., John Lawrence and wife Cindy of Junction City, Ark., and Kenneth Pumphrey of Junction City, Ark.; aunt, Margie Koontz of Many, La.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
