Charline Bond Curtis

Charline Bond Curtis, 90, of El Dorado and formerly of Camden, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at John R. Williamson Hospice House.

She was born Feb. 20, 1923 to Ras and Betty Williams Bond of Dallas County. She was a member of Friendship Primitive Baptist Church. She loved attending church, her family, and gardening. She was a wonderful seamstress and quilter.

Preceding her in death were her loving husband, C. P. Curtis; her parents; a brother, Richard Hamilton Bond; a sister, Betty Sue Childs; and a brother-in-law, Bill Welch.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Curtis and wife Shelia of El Dorado, and Robert Curtis and wife Nancy of Magazine; two daughters, Carolyn Crossley and husband Johnny and Cynthia Ford and husband Myron of El Dorado; two sisters, Emma Lou Foster and husband Bob of Arlington and Janice Welch of Joiner; a sister-in-law, Myrtie Bond of Monroe; and a brother-in-law, David Childs of Texas; grandchildren, Clay Curtis and wife Melinda of Pennington, N.J., Todd Porter and wife Natascha of San Antonio; Tim Porter of El Dorado, Betsy Revel of El Dorado, Cody Ford of Fayetteville, Katie Leopard and husband Scott of El Dorado, and Hanna, Caleb and Clair Curtis of Magazine; two special granddaughters-in-law, Jan Porter and Amanda White; eight great-grandchildren, Shae, Caylie and Brookelyn Porter, Emma and Will Curtis, Presley and Harley Revel and Olivia Leopard; and several nieces and nephews, along with numerous foster children.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel in Camden with Elder Myron Ford officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery at Bearden under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Johnny Crossley, Todd and Tim Porter, Cody Ford, Caleb Curtis and Scott Leopard.
