Jerry Samuel Schlinker, 71, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed from this life on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018 in Booneville, Arkansas. He was born Aug. 30, 1946 in Hackett, Arkansas to the late Herbert and Iva Lee (Smith) Schlinker.
Jerry was a retired ordained Assembly of God Minister. He was in the ministry for over fifty years serving in the London, Magazine, Sugar Grove and Bates communities. He attended the Antioch Community Church.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Herbert L. Schlinker Jr.; a grandson, John David Loven; and his parents before mentioned.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m, Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018 at the Lakeview Pentecostal Church near Booneville with burial in the Sugar Grove Cemetery in the Sugar Grove Community near Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
Visitation will Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m, at Roberts Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Wilkins) Schlinker of the home; one daughter, Cindy Loven (David) of Booneville; one son, Danny Schlinker (Kristy) of Alexander, Arkansas; five sisters, Geraldine Chambers of Magazine, Norma Holt of Booneville, Sharon Gray of Mansfield, Cathy Frank of California, and Carol Metz of Yuma, Arizona; seven brothers, Joe Schlinker of Booneville, George Schlinker of Booneville, Johnny Schlinker of Sugar Grove, Derral Schlinker of Magazine, Eddie Schlinker of Booneville, Terry Schlinker of Springdale, and Ronnie Schlinker of Booneville; six grandchildren, Brent, Ashley, Jarrod, Kristyn, Hannah and Jacob; one great-granddaughter, Jocelynn; other relatives and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Keith Chambers, Steven Schlinker, Glen Holt, Gary Franklin, Gerald Franlin and Jacky Franklin.
