Anna Jean Imken Crosby, 79, of Waveland, Arkansas formerly of Sugar Grove, passed away Feb. 22, 2018 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born Oct. 23, 1938 in her grandparents’ house in Westhoff, Texas to John Henry and Maggie J. (Young) Imken.
She was the mother of four children whom she loved with all her heart. She was an Air Force wife for 22 years, a former BHDC employee and a homemaker. She enjoyed going to extension homemaker club meetings and playing bingo at the senior center. She will be missed by many.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Franklin Winfield Crosby; her oldest son, John Henry Crosby; two grandsons, Scott Steven Crosby and Dalton Lee Poindexter; and a brother-in-law, Jim Sandstedt.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at Roberts Memorial Chapel in Booneville with burial in Rocky Springs Cemetery in the Sugar Grove Community, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., at Roberts Funeral Home.
She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca “Becky” (Johnny) Poindexter of Waveland, Arkansas and Cynthia Scott (David) of Booneville; one son, Steven Crosby (Peggy) of Booneville; one sister, Anita Sandstedt of San Antonio, Texas; eight granddaughters, Amy Moore, Paula Myers, Amanda Pirraglia, Brooke Crosby, Angela Crosby, Kristie Stadler, Natalie Scott and Julie Poindexter; two grandsons, Jay Crosby and Andy Brown; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; nephew, Jim Sandstedt and wife Julia San Antonio, Texas; and a niece, Debbie Zarzecki.
Pallbearers will be Andy Brown, Steven Crosby, Johnny Poindexter, Jay Crosby, Loyd Scott, Christian Cooper, Tyler Adair and Tyler Smith.
