Alfred Bryce Gordon, 92, of Magazine, Arkansas, passed from this life on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017 in Booneville, Arkansas. He was born Dec. 24, 1924 in Bolero, Colorado to the late Charlie Hamilton and Ada Fern (Johnston) Gordon.

Gordon was retired from the ACE Comb Company in Booneville. He owned a bait store, was a member of the United Methodist Church in Magazine, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He loved coon hunting, cattle farming, telling stories, and playing guitar. He even authored a book in his later years entitled “King of the Ozarks”. He was the best father, grandfather, and father-in-law anyone could ask for.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Foy Gordon, and his parents, before mentioned.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 at the United Methodist Church in Magazine, with burial in Ellington Cemetery near Magazine — there will be no graveside service — under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m., at Roberts Funeral Home.

He is survived by two daughters, Frankie Norris (Daniel) and Alfreda Young (Larry), all of Magazine; one son, Clyde Gordon (Patricia) of Magazine; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
