The Magazine Lady Rattlers saw their season come to an end Wednesday in the opening round of the Class 2A West regional played at Eureka Springs.
The Lady Rattlers (15-12) were outscored by Conway St. Joseph’s in every quarter on the way to a 59-39 loss that ended careers for a half dozen players.
Scoreless in the first half, Brittney Bryan scored 10 second half points to lead Magazine as head coach Randy Loyd’s team scored 13 points in each of the second half quarters.
However, St. Joseph’s scored 19 points in both of the quarters and pushed their lead to 40-26 through three before winning by 20.
Bryan scored six points in the third quarter and Tierra Phillips contributed her four points in the frame as well. Kayla Canada hit her second 3 of the game in the final quarter.
St. Joseph’s was up 8-5 after one quarter as Magazine’s only points came on a 3 by Canada and a basket by Adrianna Thomas.
It was 21-13 at the half although Heather Bryan threw in a 3 and Thomas had a convectional three point play in the second quarter. Heather Bryan finished with six points and Thomas finished with seven.
