The Logan County Extension Service, along with USDA Agricultural Research Service and the University of Missouri Center for Agroforestry, are hosting a pasture walk and field day Saturday, Nov. 9 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the RRR Ranch in Subiaco.
The field day at the ranch, located at at 16680 North State Highway 109 in Subiaco, will be a chance for producers to learn about silvopasture, which is growing grass and grazing animals in a forested environment.
Attendees will get a chance to see a working operation and different stages of the development of a silvopasture system. They will also see how forages, timber, and animals are all managed together in this system.
The event is free of charge and open to the public, but advance registration is requested. Please register directly at: http://bit.ly/nov9pwpfd or contact Gregory O. Mori, Outreach Coordinator, at the MU Center for Agroforestry: Email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone at 573-882-9866.
