Brooklyn Zarlingo continued her assault on the school’s record book while winning the high point award at the Gaile Hainley Relays in Waldron Thursday.
Zarlingo cleared 10 feet in the pole vault, breaking her own record, and went 17 feet in the long jump to break a record from the early 80s, and 35’ 3” in the triple jump.
She is qualified for the state in all three events and Zarlingo also cleared 4’ 8” in the high jump yesterday.
Tatum Scott of Magazine joined his team’s pre-qualifies with a 53.27 400-meter dash, which was second at the meet to Zach Stanely of Danville (52.39).
Magazine’s boys and girls squads were the runners-up in the meet.
The Magazine Lady Rattlers trailed Hector’s Lady Wildcats 5-4 until an eight run bottom of the fifth in a 13-4 loss.
Hector’s boys completed a sweep with a win in the baseball game.
