Cutting-edge sprayer donated by Victory Innovations provides better protection during cold and flu season.
Magazine School District is enhancing its flu prevention efforts to better protect students, parents, caregivers, teachers and school staff from harmful bacteria this season.
Of the more than 14,000 school districts across the United States, Magazine School District, is among a progressive group of just 625 schools to have received a Cordless Electrostatic Handheld Sprayer as part of the Victory Innovations “Keep Kids Healthy” initiative.
The initiative was established to help public schools prevent the spread of flu and other viruses through access to better tools and technology. The initiative has the potential to impact the health of over two million students this year.
In January, the CDC estimated that between 6 million and 7 million people have been sick with flu. Of that number, up to half have sought medical care for their illness and between 69,000 and 84,000 people have been hospitalized. And with critical weeks remaining in the flu season, this number will only continue to grow.
By using the Victory Innovations sprayer, Magazine School District is able to implement proactive flu protection for its students and faculty with cutting-edge technology that delivers fast, efficient application of disinfectant, reducing the risk of cross-contamination.
“We’ve been impressed by the incredible work that so many school districts are already doing to keep kids and teachers healthy this flu season, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to help strengthen those preventative measures,” said Kyle Wheaton, president of Victory Innovations. “With our patented sprayers, schools can quickly implement a critical line of defense against harmful germs and viruses.”
With the Victory Innovations Cordless Electrostatic Sprayer system Magazine School District will be able to apply disinfectant in classrooms, gyms, cafeterias, bathrooms, buses, lockers and many other high-traffic surfaces without the hindrance of a power cord, additional cleaning tools or downtime for treatment to take effect. Because flu viruses can spread rapidly during the school year, better accessibility and comprehensive treatment of the most heavily trafficked areas of the school environment is critical.
The Victory Innovations Cordless Electrostatic Handheld Sprayer is the world’s first and only sprayer of its kind. Featuring patent pending electrostatic technology, Victory Innovations sprayers provide an electrical charge to cleaning solutions, allowing them to wrap conductive surfaces with more effective and even coverage. This helps ensure that disinfectants can more fully cover a surface, including some areas that may not have been directly sprayed.
