“It will be a very exciting tournament this year with PGA of America Career Services in attendance,” said Bridgett Norwood, UALR head women’s coach.
There are 17 teams with 5 individuals totaling 90 players this year. “We have 4 freshmen, 2 seniors and 1 junior this year. We have had a rocky start, but the girls are working hard and I am sure they will develop into fine golfers.
Teams included in the Oct. 28, 29 and 30 Women’s Golf Classic at Diamante Country Club will be, UALR, Arkansas State University, University of Central Arkansas, University of Texas Arlington, Utah Valley, University of Northwest Iowa, Jacksonville State, Missouri State, Houston Baptist, University of Texas El Paso, Western Kentucky, Stephen F. Austin, Lamar University, University of Missouri Kansas City, University of South Alabama, McNeese State and University of Louisiana Monroe.
The schools, UALR and Diamante welcome the public to attend the tournament. Charlie Hartmann, local tournament coordinator said, “The tournament is free of charge and it is an avenue for HSV residents to see some great golf.” For specific tee times, spectator information, contact the Diamante Pro Shop at 501-922-4191.


The University of Arkansas Little Rock welcomed collegiate golf teams from across the country as they gathered for tournament action at Diamante Country Club.
