The Crawford County Fair Association will host its annual pageants Sept. 11, 12, 13 and 15 at Kirksey Park in Mulberry. All contestants must be a resident or attend school in Crawford County at least one year prior to the pageant.
The sign up and rehearsal meeting for the pageant will be from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 1 at the fairgrounds.
Eleven pageant divisions will be held this year, including Tiny Tot division for ages 0-11 months, Wee Princess division for ages 1-2 years, Tiny Princess for ages 3-4, Princess for ages 5-6, Junior Princess for ages 7-8, Little Miss for ages 9-10, Junior Miss for ages 11-12, teen division for ages 13-16 and queen division for ages 17-21.
New this year will be the Ms. division for ages 35-55 and returning will be the senior division for ages 56-75.
The winners of the teen and queen pageants will represent Crawford County at the Arkansas State Fair pageants in October.
University of Arkansas - Fort Smith will award the winner of the queen pageant a $1,500 scholarship. Ms. and senior winners also will be eligible to attend the state fair pageant.
The youth talent show will be Sept. 12 at the fairgrounds during the pageant. There will be three age divisions this year - ages 9 and under, 10-15 and 16-21. The categories are vocal solo, vocal group, instrumental solo and variety.
Cash prizes will be awarded to winner in each division. Winners from the 10-15 and 16-21 age division will represent Crawford County at the state fair. Contestants may enter only two division in talent show. Entry fee is $25 per division and deadline is Sept. 1.
