Scholarships totalling potentially more than $1.27 million were awarded to Booneville High School seniors during Class Night on May 15.

A big chuck of that went to James Bradshaw who has been or can be awarded a $40,000 Governor’s Distinguished Scholar over four years, a $46,000 Harding University Founder’s Scholarship, a $2,564 Harding Arkansas Challenge Supplemental Grant, the $14,000 Arkansas Challenge Scholarship. Additionally he has earned a Lehigh University Grant: $63,000 per year for a total of $252,000 over four years. At Lehigh Bradshaw will also be able to participate in research beginning his first year, for which he will be paid. In addition, if he maintains as least a 3.7 gpa his Master’s will be completely paid out of Lehigh’s Presidential Scholarship.

There were two seniors who have completed and earned Microsoft Certifications in Cameron Harbison and Mason Borden

Booneville High 2018 Seniors enlisting in a branch of military are Bailey Denton, who was sworn into service by her father, basketball coach Ronnie Denton, is joining the US Air Force Reserves and Zach Swafford is enlisting into the US Army Reserves.

All Academic Challenge Scholarships and Future Gants are pending until those students complete all Arkansas Department of Higher Education requirements.

Together the graduating class of 2018 has earned over $1,272,300 in academic scholarships and grants not including community scholarship totals.
