The Citizens’ Climate Lobby will hold its first regional conference in Fort Smith this weekend.
The Citizens’ Climate Lobby's 2018 Tornadoes Regional Conference will be at St. Scholastica Conference Center, 1301 S. Albert Pike Ave., with a reception at 7 p.m. that is free and open to the public.
The lobby’s goal is to initiate a carbon fee and dividend bill in Congress. There are now 70 members of Congress equally representing both Republican and Democratic parties in the House Climate Solutions Caucus. There were 66 members in mid-January.
