The Arkansas Parole Board has issued a recommendation in favor of a pardon regarding an application from a Logan County man.

The board recommended Alan Hopkins be pardoned for theft of property and a probation revocation for the same.

The Board’s recommendations are non-binding and will be forwarded to the Governor’s office for a final decision. The board can neither grant nor deny a pardon or commutation that decision is finalized by the governor. The Board makes non-binding recommendations on the merits of a commutation or a pardon application.
