OZARK – Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus will host a Constitution Day celebration on Wednesday, Sept. 20, in the Student Services Conference Center.

This year marks the 230th anniversary of the ratification of the U.S. Constitution, which was adopted by the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, Pa., on Sept. 17, 1787.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 2 p.m. and feature guest speaker Judge Ray Spruell of Franklin County.

A graduate of Southside High School in Fort Smith, Spruell earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Arkansas and went on the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he graduated in 1992.

Judge Spruell has over 20 years’ experience as an attorney, emphasizing criminal defense, family and general civil practice. He was elected to serve Franklin County in 2016.
