Man's body found near Scranton
The Logan County Sheriff's Office and the Arkansas State Police are investigating the murder of a white male whose body was discovered Monday night at a residence on Arkansas 288 near Scranton in northern Logan County, according to 15th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Thomas Tatum II of Danville.
Tatum refused to provide additional details, except to say the body has been taken to the Arkansas Crime Laboratory in Little Rock for an autopsy.
"There's been a homicide and we're investigating," Tatum said Tuesday morning. "I went out there last night and right now we have no one under investigation. They are interviewing multiple people. It's definitely a homicide and I don't want to release any details at this point. They're still doing interviews and running people down. I figure it'll be at least 48 hours before we know more.
