Five of the Logan County 4-H Shooting Sports Team, the Long Shots, competed in Oklahoma City at the Sooner State Games.

In the junior division Natosha Hammonds won the gold medal in the air pistol PTO shoot and Tiangang Huang placed just under her receiving the silver. Huang also competed in air rifle taking the gold in that competition.

Kyle Baire and Charla and Tate Hammonds competed as seniors in the .22 and air pistol events. In the men’s .22 pistol, Tate Hammonds took the gold and Baire won the silver. Charla Hammonds won the gold in the women’s .22 pistol.

In the PTO air pistol competition, Tate Hammonds won the gold, Charla Hammonds the silver and Baire received the bronze.

For overall youth competitors Tate Hammonds won first and Charla Hammonds second.
