The Booneville Chamber of Commerce has announced a Valentine’s dinner and comedy show will be held in Booneville on Valentine’s night, Feb. 14.
Set for the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center, doors will open at 6, dinner will be served at 6:30 and the show will start at 7.
Providing the entertainment for the show will be New York City comedian Jason Salmon.
According to the website www.opencomedy.com, “From his birth during a freak hailstorm in Texas to his fast rise through the New York City comedy scene, Jason’s mix of colloquial philosophy and absurdist observation have made him a must-see for comedy fans of all ages. His comedy has been described as ‘…like getting the best advice ever from the dumbest guy you know.’”
Besides standup, he has appeared on the small screen, in Orange is the New Black and 30 Rock, and in a multiple commercials, including Toyota 4Runner: Snakebite and GEICO: Happier than a Witch in a Broom Factory.
According to IMDb, Salmon “is an actor and producer, known for Happy Ending (2005), The Eye Is a Thief (2003) and The Writer (2006).”
