Preliminary auditions will be held Saturday, May 11, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Eiffel Tower Stage in downtown Paris. Age at the time of audition will classify the contestant his/her designated age group. Proof of age must be presented at the audition. From these auditions, a panel of judges will select the top acts to compete at the finals to be held on Saturday, June 15, at 6:30 p.m.
All genres of music are encouraged – pop, country, Broadway, or Christian. For the audition, contestants must bring their own background music CD or may accompany themselves with their own instrument. Each contestant is required to be ready with two song selections with total time performance not to exceed seven minutes.
Other requirements include a short personal data about yourself, including information for your introduction by the emcee and highlights of your accomplishments in your past performances and your aspirations in your singing career and a photo of yourself.
Tonya Baumgartner said that auditions may only contain solo or duet acts and contestants must compete within their respective divisions in the audition competition on May 11, 2019, at the SpringTime in Paris Festival. No song will be allowed to be performed by more than one contestant. Original songs will not be permitted for competition performance and all songs submitted for performance will be reviewed for approval by PACC panel and, once approved, cannot be changed.
All performances must be done in good taste; no music or lyrics that PACC considered to be offensive may be performed. PACC panel reserves the right to refuse a song that they deem inappropriate for the show format. Harmony vocals, other vocal accompaniments and backup instrumentalist by others are not allowed and no special lighting, props or special effects may be used.
