Texas Regional radio chart-topper Josh Ward will be playing a free show in Gilley’s inside the Choctaw Casino and Resort in Pocola, Ola., Saturday.

The show will start at 10 p.m., following an opening performace by the Whiskey Road Band from 6 to 9.

Labeled a country music traditionalist Ward delivers an old school sound with a hauntingly country classic voice. He is currently celebrating his ninth consecutive number 1 hit single on the Texas Regional Radio Chart, “You Don’t Have To be Lonely.”

It is also number 1 on the CDX Traction Chart. All six singles off his current album “Holding Me Together” have all hit the top spot. “Holding Me Together” was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Greg Hunt.

The hit single “Whiskey and Whitley” won Song of the Year at the Texas Regional Radio Awards. Ward also took home “New Male Vocalist of the Year.” He is nominated for “Male Vocalist of the Year” at the Texas Radio Awards this year.

Ward has been featured on the nationally syndicated Texas Music Scene TV hosted by nine-time Grammy Award winner Ray Benson from Asleep At The Wheel.

A native of Montgomery, Texas — just outside of Houston — Ward starting playing music in parking lots of the rodeo circuit in 2003. He formed his current band in 2013.

Ward’s live show reputation has made him a heavyweight on the touring circuit where he keeps the dance floors packed. High energy show that take you on a roller coaster ride.

Ward will be returning to the studio this month recording a new album slated for release in early 2018.
