Big Game Party

Common Grounds Coffee House, located at 46 East Main Street in Booneville, is hosting a party from 5 to 8 p.m. during Sunday’s big football game. It is a private party and BYOB. There will be pizza and wings available for purchase. There is a catch in that the event will be held only if organizers can get 15 or more people coming.

Stampin’ Up

Join in a fun crafty afternoon at the Logan County Emergency Management Building, located at 205 East Maple Street in Paris, from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, for a guided instruction in basic card making technique. You’ll make three take home cards. The fee is $10, which is waived with a $25 Stampin’ Up purchase. All supplies will be provided.

There is nothing more heartwarming than giving or receiving a handmade card. Friends and loved ones recognize the love and extra effort that went into making this unique gift that just isn’t captured in mass production.

Eureka Gras Light & Sound Parade

Hosted by Eureka Springs Mardi Gras and Eureka Springs, the parade is set for 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 3.

The Parade will follow the usual parade route from the Carnegie Public Library, down Spring Street to the Court House on Main Street. After the parade downtown, there will be Second Line Dancing in the streets. After the parade, follow the Mayor’s Second Line to the Mayor’s Ball in the Basin Park Hotel’s Ballroom on the top floor.

Casino Country

Country music singer Tracy Byrd takes to the Lee Creek Tavern stage at the Cherokee Casino Roland at 8 p.m,. on Friday, Feb. 2.

Sammy Kershaw will be appearing in concert at Gilleys inside the Choctaw Casino and Resort in Pocola, Okla., at 9:30- p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3.

Kershaw has released 16 studio albums, with three RIAA platinum certifications and two gold certifications among them. More than 25 singles have entered Top 40 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including the number 1 hit “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful” and 10 more Top 10 hits: “Cadillac Style”, “Anywhere but Here”, “Haunted Heart”, “Queen of My Double-Wide Trailer”, “I Can’t Reach Her Anymore”, “National Working Woman’s Holiday”, “Third Rate Romance”, “Meant to Be”, “Vidalia”, and “Love of My Life”.
