Junior first baseman Michael Drawbaugh was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 11th inning to give Booneville a 2-1 win over Dover Friday in what amounted to a Conference 4A-4 title game.
With the win the Bearcats complete a perfect run through the league and will be the top seed in next weekend’s district tournament in Waldron. Dover drops to 5-2 in conference play.
Jesse Frost started the winning rally with a one out single and after Matt Berry was hit by a Tanner Watson pitch, Cody Simpson loaded the bases with an infield single on a slow rolling ball up the third base line, bringing up Drawbaugh.
With Michael Springs running for Frost and breaking on a 1-1 pitch Drawbaugh poked a high pitch foul, but he was hit by the next pitch.
