The Booneville Junior High Bearcats edged Waldron 30-24 despite a 154-yard, two performance by the Bulldogs’ Tristan Bumbelow.

The difference was an 8-yard Caleb Draper touchdown run with 2:40 to go in the third quarter and a fourth down stop of the Bulldogs at the Bearcat 37-yard line with 3:46 remaining in the game.

Draper’s touchdown marked the fourth straight possession on which the Bearcats (2-2) reached the end zone after a three-and-punt on the game’s initial possession.

Draper also moved the sticks twice on the ensuing possession and Grant Rodatz, who ran for a team-high 92 yards, two touchdowns and a pair of two point conversions, picked up a first down as well to help the Bearcats run out the clock.

Hayden Fennell added 88 yards and a touchdown and ran for a two-point conversion as well.

Seventh Grade Bearcats 32 Waldron 0

A 39-yard Brandon Ulmer to Marcus Nichols touchdown pass capped a 32-point first half for the Booneville seventh grade Bearcats at Waldron Thursday.

It was the second score in 20 seconds for the Bearcats (3-0) after Michael Hesson with 9 yards for a touchdown and caught a two-point conversion pass from Ulmer.

Ulmer intercepted a pass after the simulated kickoff to set up the final score of the night.

Carson Ran and Ulmer also ran for scored and Nichols and Ray ran for two point conversions and Ulmer hit Ethan Dobbs for another.

Union Christian 54 Magazine Jr. High 0

The Magazine Junior High Rattlers lost 54-0 to Union christian in a game played in Charleston Thursday night.

The Rattlers were down 16-0 after one quarter and 54-0 at the intermission.
