Booneville Head Coach Scott Hyatt will be looking to move into second place on the school’s all time head coaching wins Friday night when the Bearcats face Charleston.

With Friday’s 55-6 domination of Mansfield last Friday, Hyatt has been the head coach of 107 wins. That ties him with Gene Bradley, who coached from 1966-1980 and was in charge when Bearcat Stadium was built.

The all time leader for wins among the 17 men who have been the head coach of the Bearcats is Kenneth Rippy with 165.

Among Hyatt’s wins is the 2013 Class 4A state title game over Warren.

Hyatt’s teams have won fewer than eight games only once, the 4-7 2015 season which was the first Bearcat team to finish a regular season under .500 since 1980. Hyatt has had five teams win 10 or more games, including last season’s 10-2 club, which is one of his five conference championship teams.

Currently in its 99th season of football, Booneville has won 711 games, 33 conference titles and sthree state titles.
