Blakley Cobb and Mackie Plymale fired match best nine-hole totals of 37 and 48 at Waldron Tuesday. Shelby Posey was the best lady on the course in Pottsville on Monday with a 47.
Cobb topped Charleston’s Dalton Haney by a single stroke and Plymale was a single stroke better than Waldron’s Kaylin Watson. Posey was two strokes in front of Charleston’s Gabielle Meador in Pottsville on Monday.
Plymale’s round, coupled with a 52 by Baylee Moses and a 55 by Posey helped the Lady Cats to win the three team match by three strokes over the host club Tuesday.
With only two players, the Bearcats were one short of being able to compete as a team. Grant Goers turned in a round of 53.
Cobb had also shot a nine-hole 40 on Monday in the match in Pottsville.
There Bearcats had only two players so they were not eligible for the team competition.
Cobb’s round was the second best of the day, two strokes back of Pottsville’s Porter.
Grant Goers shot a 58 for Booneville.
The LadyCats, the only of the six school represented to have a full team contingent. Other golfers for Booneville were Moses (53) Plymale (58) and Joleigh Tate (59).
