The Magazine Rattlers had the ball for 9:50 of the single regulation 12-minute quarter against Cedarville Friday night at Shorty Wright Field at Diamondback Stadium.
However, it was Cedarville who struck twice with big plays and a 14-0 win.
Kelin Mitchell went 45 yards for one touchdown and August Pruhs and Dylan Murray connected for a 62-yard touchdown.
The Rattlers managed only 27 total yards, 24 with sophomore Tatum Scott accounting for 24.
Both teams also scored once during the two play sessions. Cedarville got a 54-yard connection from Pruhs to Calloway Henslee during a 10 play series and the Rattlers had Caleb Hyatt rumble 70 yards for a touchdown in their 10-play series.
Joseph Posey recovered a fumble to end the second Cedarville series.
