Freshman Brooklyn Zarlingo and junior Brandon Ulmer both scored in two events at the Class 4A state track meet in Pocahontas last Tuesday but it was Nate Riley with the top finish of the day.

Riley tied for third in the high jump, clearing 6’.

Zarlingo was fifth in the pole vault clearing 8’ 6” and added an eighth place in the triple jump with a distance of 32’ 1.5”

For Ulmer it was a fifth place finish in both the 400-meter dash (51.53) and long jump (20’ 4 1/4”).

The only other placement for the Bearcats was Austin Dobbs who finished fifth in the pole vault clearing 11’ 8”.

With 17.5 points, the Bearats were 14th out of 31 schools represented. With 5 points, the LadyCats were tied for 23rd out of the 34 represented.
