What was expected to be a long week was shortened Friday when the Lady Rattlers dropped out of a tournament in Clarksville.

Before that the Lady Rattlers lost three straight games on the road.

Russellville 10 Lady Rattlers 0

The Lady Rattlers left the bases loaded in the second inning in Russellville Monday and left two more runners in scoring position in the third inning against Russellville Monday.

They managed only one more base runner the rest of the way against Meridith Duffield. Duffield struck out 11 hitters. She allowed just three hits.

The Lady Cyclones led 3-0 after the Lady Rattlers were unable to get runners home and still led just 4-0 after four innings as Courtney Stone — she struck out five — kept the Lady Rattlers in it.

Back-to-back three run innings pushed the lead to a game ending 10 run lead with one away in the sixth.

Chasity Washam had three hits and three RBI for the Class 6A school.

Lavaca 11 Lady Rattlers 1

After Lavaca scored six times in the bottom of the fourth inning Thursday in Lavaca, the Lady Rattlers were down 10-0 and had to score to prolong the game.

Kelsey Krigbaum led off the fifth inning with a walk and was later driven in on a hit from Courtney Stone.

The extension of the game lasted only until the bottom of the inning when Lavaca reasserted its 10 run lead.

The Lady Rattlers left six aboard, three in scoring position, and had two runners erased on the basepaths.

County Line 10 Lady Rattlers 4

Magazine drew first blood when Jaysi Watson scored on an Addison Bennett ground out.

The Lady Indians drew three walks against Taryn Leslie, who was starting in place of Courtney Stone to start the bottom of the first and a bases loaded triple by Keilee Robberson put County Line in control. Robberson would also score to make it 4-1 after one.

Bennett would score in both the sixth and seventh innings as Magazine chipped away at the lead.
