Three girl squad scores 36 points.
The Booneville Bearcats opened the outdoor track season by winning their own Bearcat Relays last Monday outpointing Waldron, 128 to 101.5.
Despite having only three girls participating in the meet, the LadyCats managed two firsts and two second place finishes for 36 total points. Waldron won the girls meet with 145 points to 102 for Ozark.
The Beracats got first place finishes from Evan Schlinker in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.50, Brandon Ulmer in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.22, Austin Dobbs in the pole vault with a clear of 11’ 6”, Kaden Trejo in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.75, Nate Riley in the high jump clearing 5’ 10”, the 4x400-meter relay team with a time of 3:42.07 and the 4x100-meter re lay team with a time of 46.09.
The LadyCats had Lily Taylor win the pole vault at 8’ 9” and Kaylin Wells win the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 54.94.
Schlinker was also fifth in the triple jump (38’ 9”) and eighth in the long jump (18’).
Marcus Nichols was second in the discus (125’ 10”).
Jacob Tucker was third in the discus (111’ 2 1/2”).
Dylan Colgan was fourth in the pole fault (8’ 6”) and Noah Reyes was fourth in the shot put (39’ 1”).
Jeremy Elliott was fourth in the 400-meter dash (57:17) and sixth in the 300-meter hurdles (19:28).
Ethan Dobbs was sixth in the long jump (18’ 11”) and sixth in the triple jump (38’ 8”).
Andrew Robertson was seventh in the 100-dash (11:56) and the 4x800-meter relay team was also seventh (10:23.71).
Dalton Tatum was eighth in the 800-meter run (2:26.16).
For the LadyCats Bailey Denton was second in the 800-meter run (2:51.38), and Wells was second in the 100-meter hurdles.
