FORT SMITH, Ark. – UAFS will look to extend its four-game win streak and sweep the regular-season series against Newman when the nationally-ranked Lions play the Jets on Wednesday night at Fugate Gymnasium in Wichita, Kan.

Tipoff will be 7:30 p.m. for this Heartland Conference game. Live statistics and live stream will be available. The game will be broadcast on KHGG-AM 1580, KHGG-FM 101.1, KFPW-AM 1230 and KFPW-FM 96.7.

UAFS (18-3, 7-3), which is ranked No. 17 in latest NABC Division II Top 25, is tied for second in the conference with Rogers State (14-6, 5-3) and is one game behind conference leader and No. 22-ranked Dallas Baptist (17-3, 7-2), which the Lions play on Saturday at the Stubblefield Center.

The Lions are coming off a hard-fought, overtime win against Lubbock Christian on Saturday at the Stubblefield Center to sweep that regular-season conference series.

UAFS averages 84 points per game with three players averaging double-figures in scoring – senior guard Darrion Strong-Moore (14.6), senior guard DaVaunta Thomas (13.4) and senior guard Ladarius Coleman (11.9). Junior guard Chris Crawford leads the team in assists per game (3.3).

The Lions out-rebound their opponents by eight rebounds per game (40.6-32.6). Coleman leads the team in rebounds per game (8.1) and is one of four players averaging four or more rebounds per game.

Newman snapped a two-game losing streak on Saturday with a 79-51 home win against Oklahoma Christian at Fugate Gymnasium.

The Jets average 77 points per game with three players averaging double-figures in scoring – junior guard Dametrius Walker (14.9), junior guard Ben Ayre (14.1) and senior forward Kevin Bryant (11.6). Aye leads the team in assists per game (4.5).

Newman out-rebounds its opponents by more than two rebounds per game (35.8-33.4). Bryant leads the team in rebounds per game (8.2) and is one of two players averaging four or more rebounds per game.

The Jets allow 80 points per game and force 14 turnovers per game. Walker leads the team in steals per game (1.4) and blocked shots per game (0.5).
