It was, perhaps, fitting that football program win number 700 in Booneville come at the expense of the Waldron Bulldogs, after all, the Bearcats have more wins over Waldron than any opponent.
For the second time in three weeks the Bearcats won a road game in a series that features at least 80 meetings with an opponent. This time it gave the Bearcats a 60-17-4 record in the series against the Bulldogs, a winning percentage of .775.
The 700th win came in game number 1066, which includes 35 ties, and moved the all time winning percentage for the school to 0.673.
How many Arkansas high schools are in the 700-club is uncertain, but Booneville likely joins a very short list.
