The Booneville LadyCats took a turn at capturing a tournament title in Ozark last week, winning by 18 strokes over the host squad.

Faith Preston shot a 40 over the nine holes to easily claim the individual low round. Doer’s Dune Musgrove was nine shots back.

Baylee Moses with a 46 and Mackie Plymale with a 52 joined in the team scoring for a 138 total.

Also on the course for the LadyCats was Kylie Rogers, who shot a 57.

The Bearcats were forced to settle for runner-up in the boys division, despite a combined score of 121 as the host Hillbillies combined for a 116.

Austin Baker shot a 39 to lead Booneville. He was tied with Dover’s Addison Wooten for third overall to the 36 turned in by Dougan of Ozark and the 38 by Cole Cedy of Arkins, who did not bring enough golfers for a team score.

Blakely Cobb needed one more stroke and Chandler Fritsche shot a 42. Also playing for the Bearcats were Hudson Rogers and Anson Suttles.
