Booneville and Gravette fought to a 16-16 tie in junior high action Thursday night at Bearcat Stadium.
The Bearcats (1-0-1) looked to be in position to win it with the ball at the Lion 10-yard line before a fumble gave Gravette the ball at the 4-yard line.
Randon Ray ran for 105 yards on 17 carries to lead the Bearcats. He also hooked up with Ritchie for 32 yards to move the ball to the Gravette 10 in the final minute.
Ray scored one touchdown and ran for both two point conversions and Ty Goff ran for the other Bearcat touchdown.
The seventh grade Bearcats opened the night with a 16-0 win over Gravette.
Brett Welling ran for 96 yards and a touchdown on eight carries and added both two point conversions. Brooks Herrera ran for 56 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.
The score was 16-0 by the 4:03 mark of the second quarter.
Chance Plymale led the defense with three tackles, two for a loss.
The Magazine Junior High and seventh grade teams were idle.
