To complete the opening week of fall camp head coach Scott Hyatt and the Booneville Bearcats will hold a midnight scrimmage at Bearcat Stadium.

“All the younger coaches brought it up. They thought it would be fun for the kids,” said Hyatt.

The annual end of week one ice cream supper is set for 6 p.m. Friday night and, Hyatt said, the team will watch a movie, hang out and wait until the calendar changes to Aug. 5 to hold the full-contact practice.

The scrimmage will follow the Arkansas Activities Association dictated first week that includes two days of shorts and helmets and three days of helmets and shoulder pads.

Because Sunday will be an off date the Bearcats will be able to go full pads again on Monday and stay within the practice regulations.

On Aug. 11 the Bearcats will take on the little league teams and play their annual Purple-Gold game on the practice field.
