The Magazine Lady Rattlers closed out a frustrating week with a 13-7 come-from-behind win at Danville Thursday.

The Lady Rattlers scored in every inning but the second and it was after that inning they found themselves in a 4-1 hole.

A third inning run on a two out single by Savannah Cessna cut the deficit to 4-2 and the Lady Rattlers (8-9) gave Courtney Stone with four in the fourth.

Braylea Mathews knocked in a run to cut it to 4-3, a run scoring on a passed ball tied it and Jayce Watson delivered a two-run, two-out single for a 6-4 lead.

Danville got within 6-5 in the bottom of the fourth but Paige Barr singled home two to stretch the lead to 8-5 in the fifth.

An error and ground balls by Emily Staton and Taryn Leslie and Courtney Stone pushed the lead to 12-5. A Lindsey Wilkins ground ball in the seventh made it 13-5.

Danville got two in their final at bat before Stone got her ninth strike out to end it.

Scranton 10 Lady Rattlers 0

The Lady Rattlers managed just three hits, two by Braylea Mathews, and Scranton scored in every inning, ending the contest in five innings.

Mathews was erased on a fielder’s choice after both of her singles and Savannah Cessna was also cut down on a fielder’s choice after her single.

Kristy Geels and Jessica Barr both scored three times for the Lady Rockets.

Mountainburg 13 Lady Rattlers 5

Magazine scored five runs down the stretch in the mud Monday but Mountainburg also scored 10 runs over those three innings and won 13-5.

After Mountainburg jumped on Courtney Stone for three first inning runs it stayed that way until the Lady Dragons tacked on two more in the fifth.

The Lady Rattlers finally scored in the bottom of the inning with a double by Stone getting the first run home and a second scoring on a ball away from the catcher.

After a seven run sixth by Mountainburg the Lady Rattlers managed to prolong the game until the regulation seven innings on a two out double by Emily Staton made it 12-3.

A passed ball made it 13-3 in the top of the seventh before Magazine scored twice on five walks before the inning ended with a strike out with the bases loaded.

Jayce Watson scored the first run on a loose ball and Staton drove in her second run with a bases loaded walk.
