The Booneville Jr. High Bearcats had six second place and one event win in their Bearcat relays last Thursday on the way to a runner-up team finish with 104 points.
Jadyn Hart was the high point award winner for the Lady Cats, accounting for 43.5 of the team’s 59.5 points.
Waldron won both the girls and boys meets.
Evan Schlinker won the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.72, edging out teammate Andrew Robertson at 56.41.
Schlinker was second in the triple jump at 38’ 7,” Robertson was also second in the 200 with a time of 24.50 and Kevin Trejo took second in the 300-meter hurdles with a 46.21. Also picking up the eight second place points were the 4x400- and 4x800-meter relay teams.
Robertson and Trejo also had third place finishes in the 100-meters and 110-meter high hurdles and Ty Goff was third in the pole vault.
Schlinker and Dalton Richie were fourth in the long jump and 110-meter hurdles. The 4x100-meter relay team also captured fourth.
One spot behind Schlinker, Trejo was fifth in the long jump and sixth place finishes went to Anthony McKesson in the 300-meter hurdles, Ethan Pirraglia in the shot put and Trejo in the triple jump,
For the LadyCats Hart won the long jump at 15’ 6”, and split first place points, getting nine for a tie in the 100-meter dash win at 13.31.
Hart was second in the 200 with a 25.72 and the 100-meter hurdles at 17.60. She took fourth in the 400-meters and tied for fifth in the high jump.
Also placing fourth were Tolbert in the shot put and Brooklyn Zarlingo in the pole vault and Lowe went fifth in the discus.
Finishing in the points were Shelby Posey and Brittany Maness in eighth in the high jump and shot put, respectively.
