Booneville owned the throwing events of the of their annual Bearcat Relays held last Tuesday at Bearcat Stadium scoring 31 of their points in the shot put and discus.
The Bearcats accumulated 92.5 total points and finished second to Waldron.
Caleb Draper won the shot put, launching the shot 40’ 8” and Grant Rodatz had a put of 38’ 6 1/2” for fourth place. Marcus Nichols won the discus with a throw of 126’ 4” and Jacob Tucker was third at 106’ 11”.
In the other field events the Bearcat got 14 points in the pole vault with Austin Dobbs placing second at 10’ 6” and Ethan Dobbs in third. The same duo were fifth and sixth in the triple jump, with Ethan Dobbs outdisting his borther, and Ethan Dobbs as also sixth in the long jump. High jumpers Gavin Vance and Riler were third and fifth, respectively.
In the hurdle events Jeremy Elliott was seventh in the 110-meter event and Dobbs was third in the 300-meter version.
Elliott twas seventh in the 200-meter dash and he tied for eighth in the 400-meters.
Points in the relays came from the 4x100 team placing third. the 4x400 team finishing third and the 4x800 team finishing fourth.
The LadyCats accumulated 37 points in the home meet, led by Brianna Smith placing second in both the discus (80’) and the shot put (30’ 6 1/2”).
Kailynn Wells was third in both hurdle events, Taylor was fourth in the pole vault and Lexi Ross placed fifth in the 100-meter dash.
