A months long project is about ready to come to fruition for a Magazine eighth grade EAST student as the color run she has, with some assistance, organized since September will be held on March 11.

The run, dubbed the Diamondback March 5K Color Walk/Run will be run on the school’s 5K cross country course and is a fundraiser for the March of Dimes.

That’s because the student, Carlee Parrish is also the District FBLA president and a member of the school’s junior high cross county and track squads. Also assisting in the run will be the Driggs Lariat 4H Club, of which Parrish is also a member.

Pre-registration for the event is $25 for adults and $15 for those 18 and under. The first 50 registrations will guarantee themselves a T-shirt and goody bag. Forms are available at the school’s administration building, County Discount Pharmacy in Magazine and at the Booneville Democrat.

For more information contact Vicky Parrish at 479-438-3008 or email diamondbackmarch@gmail, or visit www.facebook.com/diamondbackmarch

The title sponsor for the event is Paris Ford.
